50th Anniversary Statues in the Parks!

Disney has placed the 50th Anniversary Character Statues in the parks. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Lady & Tramp, Jaq & Gus, Tinkerbell, as well as Dumbo & Timothy Mouse is in their respected locations around Magic Kingdom. All 50 statues are across the Disney World parks.

Looking at the images being put up on social media and in Disney’s own video on YouTube, they are larger than I was expecting, and I think they all look great! I am hoping that maybe once this 50th event is over that some of these may even stick around.

While the list is a pretty good set of characters there are some in this list I think should have been swapped for some others. Specifically, the lack of Muppet representation for as long as they have been a part of the parks and the Disney company is disappointing.

Overall, the parks are ready for the 50th Celebration which started this October 1st for WDW’s 50th birthday, and we at WEDfanBlog are eager to see how all of the celebration plays out for the entire celebration.
