Doritos: This famous flavored tortilla chips brand has been around since 1964. However, in the 1960s at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, the restaurant Casa de Fritos (now Rancho Del Zocalo) began to sell a snack based around the totopo, a flat, round and triangular tortilla. It was cut up and fried and seasoned with traditional Mexican seasonings.

The popularity of this snack was high and eventually caught the eye of Arch West the, at the time, Vice President of marketing at Frito-Lay. He got in contact with Alex Foods, the provider of many items at the Casa de Fritos at Disneyland, and struck a deal. Frito-Lay began to produce a replica of the Disneyland Snack regionally. By 1966 due to overwhelming popular demand, it was released Nationwide. Which made Doritos the first tortilla chip in the United States produced nationally.

The most common flavor, Nacho Cheese, was the second to arrive in 1972. Then throughout the late 1980s, they began to test other styles of Doritos due to the continued success of the Nacho Cheese flavoring.
To this day, Doritos holds a high spot in popular snack options in the US. No longer tied to a specific flavor, many other flavor options now exist. They sell Doritos at multiple locations on the property at Walt Disney World, within the resort shops and food courts.
Side note: I'm still waiting on the return of the Pizza Cravers Doritos flavor promoted by Pizza Hut to make a comeback. Below I found an ad for it on youtube.
