Disney has decided to retool Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party this year while we start heading back into normalcy. Now the event will be an after-hours, event called After Hours Boo Bash starting August 10, 2021, running select dates through October 31, 2021. Last year, during the pandemic the Halloween event was skipped entirely to protect guests and cast members.

In place of the event, Magic Kingdom had small cavalcades throughout the day featuring and music and event-specific characters that are otherwise only seen during Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party which was previously a separately ticketed event. This was an attempt to keep the holiday spirit alive and well within the Magic Kingdom during the travel bans for these few that were able to travel and the locals who were keeping the parks in business.
Much like Mickey’s Not So Scary the new After Hours Boo Bash will be a separately ticketed event. This ticket will grant you an early entrance to the parks as early as 2 hours before the events begin. The parks will be closing early at 7, as they did before. All non-event guests will be required to exit the park at this time.

Most of the special event characters, music, and trick or treating are all expected to return for this new event with a bit more social distancing in mind. The cavalcades from last year will be replacing the parade, in hopes of keeping the crowd levels smaller and together for shorter amounts of time. The After Hours Boo Bash ticket pricing will change depending on the proximity to Halloween itself. August and September pricing appears to start at $129 and in October ticket pricing starts at $159 until Halloween Night which will be $199.These tickets are expected to go on sale on June 15, 2021.
