Passholder August Reservations Booked Up Already?

Updated: Aug 11, 2020

All parks except a few days for Epcot are already fully booked for Annual Passholders. I have seen comments on Twitter feeds and Disney news sites say Disney is slow to add annual passholder days when it gets booked up like this. For guests and single ticket purchases are open for the entire month.

In recent Disney news Bob Chapek, the current CEO of the Disney Company, had stated the earnings for the theme parks in this quarter had a steep decline. While the parks typically survive off of Resort Guests and Single Day Ticket purchases, during the pandemic, it has been the APs that have been how the parks are making the bulk of their money.

Watching several of the more prominent YouTubers that regularly visit the theme parks, they have shown how the park attendance was lower in the earlier stages of the park reopening. While watching videos on youtube, the turnout is higher than before but still nothing like usual summer crowds.

With things the way they are currently, I hope Disney will open more spots for the APs for this month, especially since they have been the parks saving grace throughout the pandemic.
